It is a great show LG -always enjoy it, but thought this years was very very good

Perki, the BBC are doing Hampton Court specials at 9.30pm yesterday, and 9.30 tonight.  Only 30 minutes, but I have just watched last night’s and it is worth watching 😀

The Beeb commentary is in depth as ever. "The seating area provides a great area to sit".

Quick recommendation for anyone still planning to go:  the flower arranging marquee has AIR CONDITIONING!  It just about saved my life yesterday.   ;)  I had a great time though.  Must admit to having an afternoon nap under a convenient tree...
Predictably I didn't see Chicky... also predictably,  I took this begonia photo, @LG_

    - same leaf, I think!   :D
I actually took loads of photos but can't get them to post easily from this phone.  Saturday's job from the laptop, I think.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Thank you for sharing the photos, I'm going tomorrow and always order the show guide in advance. It's easy to miss gardens and certain stands. In this heat, I'm not expecting super high standards in the planting. In fact, on years where there has been extreme heat, the plants have been in superb form. Always make you feel deflated when you get back to yours and everything seems all weak floppy.

Marlorena, it's called Festival of Roses and I noticed this year, the tent size has been reduced.

The magic is back! Having had two disappointing visits in the past few years I went yesterday with my daughter who persuaded me to try again, she knows how much I used to enjoy it. Despite the heat we had a brilliant time, lovely gardens, enough fruit and veg, helpful stewards, floral marquee - Wow! and obviously I came back with too much stuff.

Faith restored, and thank you @Liriodendron for the tip about the Floristry marquee, very helpful! Daughter couldn't resist the rose displays next door while I 'chilled' and she came away with two lovely climbers - everyone was a winner.

Oh @Hostafan1 none of 'your plants' ashamed to admit I just kill them or the slugs do! A pair of lovely Heucheras 'Rio' to complement existing plants, more mint (note to self - stop buying mint! the dilemma every couple of years when I repot it about re-homing the leftovers is very emotional), lavender 'Hidcote' which will become a hedge in my daughters garden if I can help her keep it, some lovely flower supports including some for my poor sedum which gets laid out by garden wildlife every summer, wheels to help move my big pots which has become a trial in this weather, a pair of lovely secateurs - resisted the loppers which would only tempt me to decimate horrible lleylandii  next door, a beautiful salmon pink pelargonium and a lovely hydrangea ( Little Lime I think).

Also saw Cavolo Nero growing so that will be seeds next year and a dwarf french bean 'Safari' also on the seed list. Found a lovely little mini-borage but they had run out of plants so I'll be on to that - oh dear, knew I'd gone OTT but when its written down
