It might be beneficial to plant yours outside in a position of moist dappled shade ; maybe this would give it time to acclimatise prior to Winter .

It has probably been used to g/house conditions , then suddenly warm & drying winds have been a shock to the system .

Thank you, PaulB3. I’ll plant it in the garden soon.

My hardy maidenhairs have sailed through the (mild) winter with me and are doing beautifully. I'm very glad to have them.

Mine too. Was so happy to see new growth, especially since they died back quite early last year.

Glad to hear it !! :)
I have this plant in deep-shade and in full-sunshine in a fairly dryish soil ; once it became established it almost became too rampant ! Soil is neutral/acidic free-draining .
Four weeks ago I extracted a fair amount (half a wheelie-bin) of this purely as it was beginning to smother other smaller ferns .
A very hardy species ; I also grow its more steadily growing relative , Adiantum pedatum .

Mine is Adiantum pedatum, @Paul B3. I’m glad to hear it’s less vigorous, as I have a small garden.

Yes , it seems slower than A.venustum ; a particularly elegant fern !

Wow, I still have mine in fairly small pots. Good to know they don't mind dry soil or full sun. I thought they like very damp soil and shade. Just goes to show.
