Not really.   I waited for rain all last year.  A 15 month drought finally ended in mid December and then we had 2 years' worth of rain in the next 6 months.   Nearly 3 weeks of heatwave and we feel as dry as last year.

My pond is full of green hair. Does blanket weed feel like strands of polyester? The stuff I have isn't very blankety - it doesn't float, more like squeaky doll's hair that grows at a vast rate of knots.

I think blanket weed is a blanket term for a load of different types of algae so your stringy stuff is probably just a different type to the usual blankety stuff.

    I don't get tattoo sleeves.
What If I bought the most wonderful jumper I had ever seen; it fitted perfectly; I loved It?

What if I wore it day and night for a month?

I would certainly have got fed up with it by then (ignore hygiene issues - this is a what if)

What if it was a tattoo and I would have to wear for the rest of my life?

I don't really get tattoos at all, for this reason. The people I know and love, who have them, say they treat them kind of like scars. The marks become part of themselves and they hardly seem to notice the tats any more. It seems different if they come to hate the tattoo. See "Wino forever".

I have lots of scars and radiotherapy tattoos and I like them - they showed I have lived and been around the block.

I change my ideas about things every other week. I have knickers that are older than some of my points of view. So I won't be getting tattoo sleeves anytime soon.

I'm fuming, Virgin Media have, overnight, removed all UKTV from their packages, including Good Food, Dave and Drama, leaving us with hardly any UK content apart from the big five.

That must be what that advert about VM was about. I wondered.
Can't you get them on freeview?
