Just been reading the post about leaving a bowl of water out for passing dogs. I'm up for it but would have to put a notice saying 'no dogs who bark incessantly when I'm relaxing in my garden'. That's reasonable isn't it?

If they're passing dogs on walkies they're unlikely to be the ones who bark all day.

  • Glorious on the beach, met the hoardes as I left. Thought I had found a rant but the couple whose dog did an enormous packet on the beach thanked me for pointing it out and cleared it up. Aw shucks.

Have already found another one, the b****y  blackbirds which keep eating my raspberries just before they are fully ripe! GRRRRHHHH!

Have had a coffee and a bacon sarny so am off to pick the remains of my raspberries, if there are any left.

Dog is stretched out drying off from his paddle, keeps him nice and cool.

We got quite a lot of our raspberries this year but don't get any of our cherries or Mirabelles here so we're planning to build a fruit cage, buy new plants we like - Mirabelle far too sweet - and leave the rest to the birds.

If you can afford to yes, then you can send your own time and skills on things you enjoy.   Not my favourite pastime either but I like the effect so will carry on for a while.

What are your roaming rites, Pg?
Do they involve dancing and incantations?
Can you post them on you tube?

I think even U-Tube would ban them B3 although Dancing without the incantations were once prevalent.
I visit massive Engineering projects world wide some of the biggest and most heart stopping in China. Maps of where I was serving in the Forces and how they have changed. Music and musicals from my youth when Puters were just a gleam in someones eye and the phone was the big red box next to the Duck Pond. How come they did not smell of wee back then?
I have catch up if you sign into the TV services and my girls use my Apple to refine their photos and Video they say it is the best around.
The world is at my finger tips and with relatives in the USA, Canada and France that keeps us all in touch. Could not live without my Laptop but like Obelixx I do not take it to bed.

Ruby, it's your time and your money, to do with as you like.  Exchanging your money for someone else's time, providing you pay them and treat them well, seems a good idea to me.  In these litigious times, it's not as simple as it used to be, so think about using an agency.

I've even done lots of washing so OH has a huge pie of ironing to keep him productive while the vegetates with all the sport on TV.

No matter how absorbing the sport, I think he'll notice that the pie filling isn't up to your usual standard.
