Which plant in *your* garden do bees best like?

  Without doubt the most popular plant with the bees in my garden is the African Blue Basil. A kind member on here kindly sent me a few cuttings a couple of years ago and I grow them in pots at the front of my patio next to where I sit. They have been in flower since spring with no signs of giving up, and on any dry day they are full of bees all day long.
  
  The only downside is they are sterile so no seeds to collect, and they don't survive our winters. I have to take cutting and grow in jam jars of water on my window cill through the winter, before planting out in spring. But the cuttings are easy to take and normally grow really well

  The sedums are covered in bees even though the flowers are still pretty pale. Origanum "Herrenhausen" is another popular plant.

  This is quite a interesting list of 30 plants (mostly perennials) that bloom into November.  All planted for pollinators and other wildlife. She is in zone 5/6 and has deep snow for a long period. There might be a few surprises in there. Most of these are grown in the UK as fairly common garden plants.

  Not my garden, but i've enjoyed watching some brave stragglers feeding from the Painted Daisies we have in a raised planter on the nursery. Absolutely heaving with flowers.

  I have been watching huge queens on the salvia Bumble. They seem almost too heavy to fly. Like Ray Winston trying to be elegant.
