A stream, preferably large enough to have small fish. and that big posh greenhouse someone posted a few weeks ago. and a walled kitchen garden. I don't want much...
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

In my present garden: get rid of the concrete that covers about a third of the garden, and make a proper wildlife pond with sloping sides, in place of the present one that has a parapet and vertical sides.  A greenhouse and/or conservatory.  Lose the non-gardening neighbours who so generously share their goosegrass and bindweed with the gardeners all around them. Replace the escallonia hedge with Holly, hazel and hawthorn, with wild roses and honeysuckle growing through them.  Replace the front fence with a low stone wall.

In my dream garden, grazing and stables for a couple of ponies.

I long for a gofer/diyer...someone who can fix a fence, put up a trellis, knock up a cold frame at a minutes notice and then nip out and get me that bag of compost or tin of paint that I need right now.
    Know anyone ????

WE, I didn't think of a stream. I'll swap my pond for one.

One or two inches of rain every night, between 10pm and midnight.
    A small stream.
    Mature shade trees.
Only benificial insects and critters within my property lines (they can go lunch on the neighbors aphids and voles).

I've got that, well, maybe nearer 4.
I'd like the funds to relocate my house into a better position on the plot and a council with even half a concept of style to allow me to build it. ( I think getting the latter would probably be harder than the former )
    Devon.
