Is here anything garden related worth buying while I’m in Madrid at the moment?

Any cool tools?

Any plants I can “smuggle” back through airport security?

Cheers TP

With the threat of a disease that attacks a large number of different plants which is already in Europe please, please DONT smuggle in any plants.

Ohh.......I wouldn't be trying to smuggle any plants........you could introduce some creature/disease into the country.  Reminds me of the time my mother went to the US and brought home an ear of corn which she had picked herself!!.........she thought it would great on the grandchild's nature table in school :D

Any suggestions?  I don’t even know where to shop :)

Apart from introducing plant plague, are there any restrictions on what you can bring in?

There’s a royal botanic gardens Incould visit tomorrow.

As far as I'm aware you can't bring live plants.........you can bring seeds.  Enjoy the Royal Bot. Gardens, post pics

Have a look for salad veg seeds. They have lots of much more interesting alternatives to lettuce. Actually start by a wander round a fruit and veg market and see what unusual and interesting things there are to eat - then look for the seeds  :)

Having lived there for 8 years I would say the garden centres are well behind ours and pretty expensive too.
I would bring back seeds as someone suggested,as there are a lot of weird and wonderful salad/veg and flowers.
When I left I gave my potting tray to my neighbour, and he was over the moon with it??? My husband gave him an electric sander, which he'd never seen before! Maybe where we lived they were a bit dated!

Yeah, I guess I’m not expecting bargains as things are usually cheaper in the UK contrary to popular belief - just something different.

Ill see what I can see at the botanical gardens and post some pics :)
