Bring out... Your bananas!

The annual banana-outing begins now, as heralded by Monty the great. Bring them forth!

Mine went out a fortnight ago. Hubby said it was smaller than Montys. So is my greenhouse. :'(

Monty did have a particularly fine specimen tonight. Though the root ball was so compact I had no idea how it would stay upright. Presumably he's right and it routs super quickly.

For the first year ever, I can join in with my currently little Musa basjoo. Which has been out, in a pot, for some time (but the squirrels and foxes won't leave it alone, grrr).

I like my bananas in cakes or banoffie pie.   No place in my garden for all that in/out faffing altho round here people leave them (wrapped), and palms (unwrapped), out all year and they look absolutely dreadful all winter and for weeks into spring.

tee hee. I thought of you last night .
To be honest. It's planted once a year, and lifted once a year. Not really much "faffing" compared with the endless faffing of watering hanging baskets every day, for example. IMHO.

I'd have to add the caveat that I never presume anyone on TV is right.

    A wise caveat.
