Thanks - I did have a quick look over the fence of neighbouring gardens but was looking for the plants in picture 2- didn't see any of those. I will check again for the other plant.

purplerain - My My My! - I wonder if I didn't mention it was my tenants your attitude may be different! Why would I want to dismiss the tenants concerns? maybe you have had bad experience with a landlord as it seems you have a problem! don't you know that landlords have to be licensed now under strict protocols??? We only took the photos today and I thought I would ask here for quick response as we can't get anyone to come and look until next Friday and if it was JKW we would look for another company to come ASAP to start treatment.  In any case the tenants were not sure if was JKW.

You are right it wont make a difference adding a photo - I will not visit this site again!

Sorry Yaz... we're not all prickly on this forum...

No. I have always owned my own home. You are being confrontational about something that may lower the value of your property. I am only telling you that you have Japanese Knotweed, as your tenents have done.

There are the odd thistles in the lawn o:)
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Sorry for your welcome @yaz1. I guess you have a little info to expand your researches.

    All best wishes

Good lord, I can’t believe what I’ve just read. A new member asks for a plant ID and the response is distinctly hostile from a certain member. I used to enjoy this forum but the thistles in the lawn are ever present.

    What a shame.  :(
@yaz1 it is possible to Ignore and render invisible an individual poster's comments if you find that you're just not getting on for some reason.

If it transpires that you do have JKW on your property I hope you're able to sort it out quickly.

    Good luck  :)
