  • They do grow well in containers. Slugs can cause minor damage to mine early in the year but they are not a significant problem.

    Mine are very very not slug proof.

  • I’ve got alstroemeria growing in the ground in a sheltered position, if they are happy they do like to spread. I think some alstroemerias are hardier than others.

    There is a single colour orange one which is a thug and can't be rid of but I think it is one of the older varieties. The newer ones seem a bit more tender. Mine struggles every year and every year I think just to get rid but it was so expensive to buy that I always think I'll give it another year's grace!
