I think the idea the dog walkers have is that rather than carrying the bag with them all the way they'll hang it somewhere and pick it up on their return. It must have been shown on a TV soap opera at some point. Unfortunately, being half-wits some of them can only remember half the job. So, having turned their noses up at carrying the bags themselves they leave it up to the rest of us to do it for them.
I believe that's the reasoning Paul - but I personally just think people are a*****les a lot of the time. They couldn't give a flying toss about anyone or anything but themselves. Very unfair on all the ones who are responsible.
I've lost count of the number of times I've reported dog fouling to the council. I believe others do too. The dog warden appears now and again in his little van.  I'm not sure it does much good because they work council hours - and when do people walk dogs? Before they go to work and later at night..... :/
Re your issue wild edges - like I said, people are manky. They simply don't care about anyone else. It's not the fault of the dogs - as always, it's the owners.

Couldn't agree more, scroggin. I loathe the fact that eventually everyone gets tarred with the same brush too. I'm not, and never have been, a dog owner, but I know plenty and it angers them enormously.  :(

  • @Fairygirl  'people are manky' ........ superb.  When clatty or mokit just will not do, ya gotta use manky.  :D:D

I have to say it's been a wee while since I saw a dog poo tree, I'd kinda forgotten about them. You can't possibly imagine what goes through someones mind when they think hanging a bag o keech on a bush is reasonable behaviour.

Not always.  Lady across the road had words with a ploom in the mooth 'lady' who was trying to hide a bag of keech in her hedge.
