Why did you choose your forum name?  (Link to old thread)

Blue for for one of my favorite colors (I really do like them all, but blue is my go-to for the favorite color question).
Onion for the layers metaphor

  • Because I thought it sounded like a good name for a gardening show. Sort of like The Instant Gardener or The Autistic Gardener.  :sunglasses:

Stolen from the title of a Glennie Kindred book that my wife bought me as she said it suited my... relaxed attitude to weeding.

I have a lot of sedums in the garden so I was very torn between this one and 'sedum and dummer'.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Gosh, that thread was a blast from the past. Some long gone, others still here and others I still correspond with, but not on this forum.

My name is self explanatory. My name, Liz, always busy in the garden or other things.

In our garden we have two bird sculptures, one of a wren the other of a woodpecker. They were sourced from this company

Because I do not see myself as a troglodyte, my name comes from the Latin for woodpecker. My avatar shows the ornament.

I was originally Firefly because I loved the film. Then I was getting mixed up with other Fire names - of which there are many on the forum - Fire Lily, Fire Cracker, Fire Dog, Fire Fox etc. So I changed to Fire∆ and that confused people, so I changed to plain Fire. It is at least plain and recognisable.

At my last job, the IT department gave everyone an internal email address to make sure they were all different.  They were all six letters, some from the surname, some from the first name.  I was one of three Susan Joneses in the organisation, so we each had a different version.  I got given josusa and rather liked it.  Some were a bit unfortunate, a man called S. Hogarth got called hogars.  My avatar is Oswald, a little fluffy duck who was a present from my OH a few years ago.

Not as unimaginative as mine,  it's just my name.  The 7 is  ( I think )  because I am the 7th person to use Pauline as my forum name.  Lucky 7
