No prepp for me. 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdomand his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:31-34
"Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them". Ezekiel Chapter 38:7

The threads on this forum are called ' discussions'. That's what they are. If you don't like the way your op is going, just stop reading it. It's not necessary to be offensive about it.
For me, prepping is about getting the soil in good order for what I want to grow, or making sure the fabric and pattern pieces for a garment I'm about to sow are ironed before I start or making sure wood and wall surfaces are repaired, filles, sanded and cleaned before I start painting.
I like cooking so have a well stocked pantry with several kinds of rice, pasta, flour, oils, vinegars, fats and oils, tinned goods, dried goods, frozen stuff and condiments and spices so, given a water supply, we could sit out an emergency situation with fresh veg from the potager.
Being a gardener only works if you're an optimist by nature so haven't thought about preparing for an apocalypse. Too busy living.

"The price good men (and women) pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men (and women)."
Same here. I like to 'be prepared' in the Scouting sense - carrying a brolly, sunglasses and plasters, that sort of thing. Planning journeys in advance, especially since I use public transport to get everywhere. And if I lived in a remote area or one with likely extremes of weather I'm sure I'd do more stocking up of food.
But 'Prepping', giving it a name and an ethos of its own takes it way too close to the madder fringes of US survivalist types and that is a road I wouldn't want to go anywhere near! In fact, I'd go so far as to say that if the only company after the apocalypse was survivalists, I'm not sure there'd be much to survive for.
'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.'
The people on this forum seem like kind, smart and generous to me - giving their time and attention to help people learn and join together to enjoy growing things.
