    My book recommends inserting a large onion into a sock for close combat. That way the onion can be recovered for the soup recipe.
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

    Crikey this Forum is useful. I had no idea that onion soup is lethal to zombies. Every day's a school day here, eh?

    It's not the soup itself.. it's the smell of the oniony wind it produces.  If onions can deter a carrot fly and cabbage moth, I'm certain it will work for zombies.

    It's simple, you waft a sock full of chopped raw onion under the zombies' noses, their eyes fill with tears and they can't see where they're going.  Works for me.
