I posted this on the disappeared vertical garden thread..

Galvanized fence shaped into shelves for seedlings.  It's connected to studs in the window frame with shoe laces, and there is a scrap bit of chain holding up the outer edges of the shelves in the middle.

That looks like something from a very expensive swanky East London restaurant Blue Onion!

Good lord, that’s brilliant! I only have 2 windowsills and a cheap £10 plastic greenhouse so I’m very taken with this ... another project aaaarrrgghhhhh!! I have to stop!

I had a toddler when I first made it.. I needed a way of protecting seedlings from curious fingers.  I had used shelves the previous year.. but he was also a climber, and I didn't want to risk a fall.  It's brilliant.  I keep it outside next to the compost bin, and just bring it in each spring.  I leave the hooks up year-round, no one ever notices them. The fence was left over from excess from my pea fence roll.. so nothing was purchased (besides the grow light).

I am currently working on building a cucumber and runner bean play house out of a large trampoline frame.   :)  I'll post pictures once I get it together.

Sandbox toy crate that becomes seedling transporter and hardening off nursery for a few weeks every year.  It provides a bit of wind protection, plus makes it easier to water.. and much easier to carry them all in and out every day.  I leave them in there until it's planting time.
