Hmm, I might just have to take a trip to Norwell Nurseries when they reopen in the spring. It's a bit further than I normally go for plant shopping, but it looks as though it might be worth the effort!

Ensign and Redstart have arrived. I'm very much looking forward to seeing them bloom in the spring. My brunnera are getting slugged in the shade. I hope these don't go the same way.
Pulmonaria Mary Mottram is named after Plantswoman Mary Mottram who was a friend of Joan Grout. Joan introduced Geranium Mary Mottram. A plant that I have grown for many years. It is very slow to bulk up.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
Blue Ensign is looking particularly good. Mine have taken a couple of years to get settled in, but they're flowering well this year. I think they like the wet weather.

The bees are visiting my old fashioned bog standard ones already. I've no idea, what they're called but they go from blue to pink. The bees even go after the ones that ,at the end of their attractive life, get chucked on the compost heap.
