I'm really surprised I don't seem to have lost a lot - yet!  A couple of gaura's, a knautia Melton Pastels and an osteosperum so far but other things I thought might die, haven't, including two ceanthos, just coming into bloom, wisteria ditto, roses and clems all seem to be okay. We have a charity open day in June so I'm very relieved.

I am currently waiting for my two Jasmines to decide if they are going to revive. I think a Guara has gone and possibly the Salvia ‘Queen of the night’ in the front garden (hope not as that is lovely). I have definitely lost a Clematis ‘Pixie’ but the ‘Mrs Bateman’  is growing beautifully. I also lost a Pelargonium ‘Fragrans’ - but I did have a couple of years from that which I wasn’t expecting.

All my plants seem to have come through unscathed, but I've lost my oopmh and have sown hardly any seeds this year. The cold grey weather has left me feeling like i can't be bothered.
Constant reminders of last years full greenhouse on "See your photos from this day 2017" that pop up on my tablet aren't helping 😕

I have lost a bleeding heart. It is supposed to be its second year but no sign at all.
No one here mentioned bleeding heart. I wonder if it is just me? :'(
Mine popped its head up last week in the warm weather, now has flowers. It was left in the ground and had two bad bouts of snow, this winter.

Aww Kitty I know how you feel. Bad weather is very depressing, and I know that I am struggling with keeping my shoulders back.

So many seeds are never going to make it for me. My January Verbena are tiny little things.

The only thing that makes me want to keep going under the grey clouds are my grandchildren and the hope of some warmth in a week or so.

@kitty it's not too late to plant seeds

Thank you for your kind words of encouragement @Purplerain and @Mary370 😊.
I gave myself a kick up..... and sowed some calendula the other day. Think i will have a rootle in the seed tin and dig out some tried and tested "good do-ers" that need a minimum of fuss and grow like the clappers.

@PageZ. My bleeding heart is up and starting to flower.
Last year they were very late to appear and I dug them up and stuck them in pots while I re-did the patch they were in. Never got round to replanting them but they've been happy in the pots on my north facing patio.

I have both the common pink one and a white "alba" which is really pretty, and I thoroughly recommend if you love dicentras. Got my alba as a bare root for a couple of quid from wilko.

A ceanothus (like many others) and probably most of the dahlias left in the ground.  Can't see any life in my dwarf fuchsia (Tom Thumb) yet but that's always late to show.
Has your Ceanothus shown any signs of recovery @BobTheGardener? I could have sworn all 3 of my mature plants had succumbed but all three have fairly significant regrowth. Thanks to Freddies Dad who said to be patient as I was on the verge of getting the saw out!

My dicentra alba didn't appear last year but has reappeared this year.  Last spring was very dry and dicentra and astilbe didn't do well at all but because of the wet spring this year they are looking great, every cloud as they say.

Annoyingly, I've had things keel over in the last week or so which had otherwise looked fine all winter. Various irises and I'm most concerned about my T. Rex in the tunnel which had started growing and has now stopped. grrrr
