Plant IDs required please

Please can anyone identify the 2 plants shown - they are going to a plant sale & I have lost the lables !

    I think the one on the left could be an Evening primrose, but sorry I don't recognise the other one. :)

    Could the larger one be a Phlox ?

    :)  @Buzzy2, I think you may be on to something there. I will check with my friend who has several types of phlox and hopefully can confirm. Many thanks.

    My Phlox Bright Eyes looks very similar :)

    My initial thought was Phlox  :)

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    A neighbour thinks the left hand plant may be some form of helenium. Any comments please ?

    Could well be, the occasional serration on the leaves looks right if you zoom in on the 2nd photo.
    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
