    The leaves look a bit too shiny to be comfrey, the leaves on mine are more like foxgloves.

  • Is this type of comfrey self sterile. I've got a lot of it on my allotment and it doesn't seem to set seed but I read that Bocking 14 (with the lilac flowers?) is the only sterile sort. Feeling confused!
  • Hi heather, I’m afraid I don’t know... here’s what mine looks like today:

    Pretty sure it’s comfy, I’ve just put some in a bucket with water to brew!
    The one I have really spreads, it pops up in the grass and everywhere so maybe not sterile?
