Tonight 21:00 BBC1 new drama ‘The Serpent’, described as a “queasy true crime saga”.

I enjoyed The Serpent . Thanks to iPlayer I've finished it now.

  • Hello ( and nice to meet you @Hostafan1 I joined the forum I suspect while you were absent and it's very clear you were much missed ) ...I struggled with the Serpent but perhaps I'll give it another go if others liked it so much. I really liked Traces which has just finished on BBC1 ( I think).

I haven’t finished The Serpent or Traces yet, but will do. Neither amazing but good enough.

Just spotted a new scandi crime drama tonight BBC 2 9pm: The Investigation.
A promotion from the usual BBC4 slot for a scandi/subtitled drama.

Might peep at It’s a sin though.

I tend to be sewing or doing embroidery while I watch TV so Scandi dramas, whether fictitious or based on real life, and with subtitles don't work for me as I listen more than I watch.

Gave up on The Serpent after less than half the first programme.  Didn't like it.  Prefer my villains to be fictional.
