  • Who would have thought clearing out the Scout Hall you would have found a bit of real Treasure in The Detectorist, brilliant written script is this the end ?

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

  • Not one of the best I agree… but still head and shoulders above anything else on tv at the moment. Still loved it.

The Royal Institution Christmas Lectures on BBC4 are always something I enjoy. They are aimed at children (10-17) but always informative. This year is about forensics.

There is a repeat of Monty Don's Adriatic Gardens tonight at 7pm BBC2 just before Winterwatch if anyone is interested if they missed the first showing.

I really enjoyed Monty Don in Venice. A few years ago we went to Venice and took a boat up the Grand Canal. I saw glimpses of a garden and would have loved to have visited it. Well, Monty did so now I have seen it on TV.

We have binge watched Happy Valley from Series 1 to now on Series 3. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Happy Valley is the best programme on tv at the moment. Great characters, gripping story and wonderful acting. There’s a good podcast which is available after each episode airs.

Yes it's great, wish it wasn't the last one.
