Yes your Dr Ruppel photo also inspired me to go out and buy one - my first clematis. I've always liked the look of your garden LeadFarmer.
Lucid
Thank you Lucid. But pleased don't be fooled, I only photograph the good bits of the garden when they are looking good, you won't ever catch me posting a photo of the bad bits
I think its time for me to maybe dig up the Dr Ruppel and add some compost to the planting area, and then replant it as it hasn't looked quite as good in recent years. Some fresh compost and feed ought to see it returning to its former glory.
Oh, and I've just realises that the clematis over my garage is n't Pillu, its Montanna. And it isn't even mine. It's my neighbours, but it chooses to grow over my garage so that only I get to see its flowers. Ive offered to go round and cut it back so that it flowers lower down for the to see, but she was happy for me to leave it as it is.
My Piilu clematis grows up my side of the garage, amongst some honeysuckle...
Very nice Leadfarmer , its matured since. It looks like a lovely walk to the greenhouse
The lower part of the garden by the greenhouse isn't as good as it should be. I did have it looking lovely, but a few years ago I had to remove a diseased cherry tree by using a digger. The concrete path lifted when the rootball came out and so whilst i had the digger on hire I decided to re-landscape the whole area. But I suffered a really bad back injury from trying to move that root ball, which caused me to halt the work.
Thankfully I am back to normal now and this year is the year I intend to finish off that part of the garden. I also plan to completely change the first part of the garden by reducing the lawn size and increasing the planting area, and the addition of a pond.
It will be hard work, but I've been planning it in my mind for the last few years so Im keen to get it started.
I was in an awful way with my back for quite a few weeks, bent over double and in agony. My doctor and physiotherapists were unable to help me. I was frightened I would never recover.
I went to see a chiropractor out of sheer desperation and bizarrely he repaired my back my manipulating my right foot. I wouldn't have believed this if it had happened to someone else, but its true. He said a fallen arch in my foot had been causing my knee to move inwards as I walked, causing straining and a weak spot in my back over the years, and my back was simply waiting for me to try and fit something I shouldn't. Within 30 mins he had corrected my foot and I was able to stand upright as straight as an arrow and I was pain free.
Quite remarkable. It was like Jesus telling the cripple to 'pick up thy bed and walk'.
Beautiful photos, stunning garden. Pretty much any image you upload online (eg on this website) is available to view immediately on platforms like Google images and can be saved for personal use. By uploading any image you are essentially making it public property. Odd and frustrating but true.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
