Just back from Waitrose and I've broken a personal best record.
Reduced trifle , 15p due to torn packaging. Do I "break" a £5 note and have a pocket full of change? nah, stick it on my credit card.

    Morning all.

Persistent rain here.  Lovely yesterday though, when I did too much pruning... got a very stiff hand now.  It was worth it though - gardening is such a wonderful tonic, and I'm still happy this morning...   :)

@Lily Pilly, it sounds as if you might need to ask for Nora's help.  I have the opposite problem, I think (though I may just be being stupid about the box ticking), and am getting notifications filling my inbox even though I think I've switched them off.

Back to cleaning today, I fear.    :/
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    Hi all.
Serious storm last night, woken at 3am. by sound of rushing water as the stream overflowed.
Need to prepare for serious sofa occupying, for a weekend of rugby.

    Morning all.

Lily P, do you really want notifications? I was flooded with them, they are sent for every post, not just the one after yours. I had to stop notifications, there were too many. I do miss them, how they were in the old forum.

I'm still having bothers on this laptop, which is OH's. Now he has installed chrome I can stay signed in and I have a box to post in, but it's French and he hasn't changed the language. I sent him the link from Nora, but it's not something that's high on his list of priorities. As I type nearly every word is underlined in red by the French spellcheck. I didn't have these problems when it was the trial run. The trial run seemed to work better.

LillyP ... click on the little round icon next to your name in the top right corner ... all your notifications should be up there

I have notifications turned off.  I have Recent Discussions in the bookmark bar at the top of my internet page.  Just one click needed.   It's an easy way to go back to see fresh posts without any scrolling.

Busy - my PC usually picks up which language I'm using.  Not sure how it works tho.  I'm more worried about the American dictionary in use on here.  It never seems to learn the English words no matter how often I tell it.
