@LG the L, I first encountered Pokeweed (aka Phytolacca, I remember from our plant IDs) in the walled herbaceous garden at horticultural college in Northumberland - so it must be fairly hardy. It's poisonous though, leaves & roots as well as the gorgeous shiny berries, so take care!
Thanks Liri. Sorry, I've been trying to remember where you'd said this and it was buried too deep in my notifications to find it. And thanks for the Latin name too . I shall look it up. Not sure I've room for it, but it's going on the list. That was an excellent garden. Not all was to my taste (eg: the ruin) but what a triumph anyway.

I really enjoyed the show. The Wolverhampton garden was brilliant. Adam did a great job with the small garden. Long Meadow looking so atmospheric! You could see the strength of the cold! Looking forwards to Monty working on reducing the use of plastic. More episodes like this, and they'll be lots of happy viewers!

Pls excuse delayed response. Got in a muddle about where I'd read things!

Im a new gardener so all I want is to be told what to do.
Im less keen on seeing the bizarre or urban stuff.
