Me too, looking for advice and sharing information back with everyone in regards to hedgehogs/wildlife.

I joined to take advantage of an offer, and found myself in the middle of a discussion about cats.

I know that I joined years ago as I had a question about pruning Ceanothus. I could not remember the password, and the advice didn't work so I joined again.

If I can give an occasional tip I try to do so bearing in mind the Scottish climate as the UK is so diverse for successful plant growing.

    See original post

Same here ... although I can remember when it was ... it was when we moved here in the summer of 2011.

I've made several 'real friends' ... some of whom I've actually met and they've enriched my life.

This is a good place to be. image

I joined the boards back in 2005 or 2006, can't remember now, when they were part of the BBC's forum offerings.  I wanted to ask about a particular plant.  Ended up making friends, having fun, meeting up at RHS plant shows, having one to stay in Belgium, staying with another in England and just generally found it a good place to share and swap info and learn too.

I have stuck with it as the forums have gone thru "evolutions", tantrums, spats, prima donna stomps and mass walkouts to new boards and all sorts.  Still chat every day by email with one group of friends, 2 of whom I've never met but now know well.

It's a source of laughter, comfort given and received and an incredible range of knowledge gladly shared amongst enthusiasts.

I'd watched and read Gardeners World for years so the website seemed a natural extension of that.
