Jelly, your photos make me want to chuck London for good.

Thanks @punkdoc, thats the one, looks like it is pretty sprawly anyway then, but at least I know I can give it a good chop now.
    Thank you @Victoria Sponge
@Fire 8 years since we did, I loved living in london at the time but not a day has gone by when I've regretted it. I commuted daily for 4 years to begin with, but rarely go in now as can work from home just as well. All depends on your circumstances obviously though

@Jellyfire, I tend to let it flower at its full height, and then cut it back, then the second flush are lower.

thanks @punkdoc, will give it a whirl. I could just remember to stake it one year I suppose!
  • I have got wild flower envy Jellyfire - also that gorgeous rambling rector - it looks stunning. I am just growing some oxeye daisies from seed, they are tiny and not ready to go out into the garden yet.

Thanks @Guernsey Donkey2, the rambling rector needs some serious taming once it finishes flowering, not looking forward to that!
good luck with your oxeyes, once established they pop up all over the place

Superb photos of superb garden / flowers! The "prairie" atmosphere is very well conveyed. I can understand you do not regret life in the city.

Your Campanula 'Loddon Anna' has been IDed by our knowledgeable friend @punkdoc . I planted half a dozen specimens last year, which were not spectacular then. But this year they have grown quite high and need staking. I experimented the Chelsea chop on parts of the plants but the result is not convincing. I suppose @punkdoc 's method is better, i.e. let them grow normally and chop off and expect a second flush. I do like their shade of pink. Here's a close-up I already posted.

I envy you your stream Punk, sadly the only water we have is in that urn!
