Evening all, some lovely piccys on here  :) I feel like summer is really underway now at long last.

Here's little bit of what's going on in my little garden at the minute...

I absolutely love this Astrantia... i think it's so pretty and I keep going outside to look at it : )

I spy Penstemon Heavenly Blue. It is a perfect time to take softwood cuttings. Lovely plants MrsFoxglove.

I love the colour of that dusky pink rose @MrsFoxglove, what is it?

I love the colours of berberis but seem to be fighting a losing battle with sawfly larvae  :(

I love this thread. My preference is always for photos which show the plant in its wider setting and ideally getting a broad sweep of the garden. I prefer such images to plant close ups which are reminiscent of plant catalogues.

I agree. Actually it's nice to see both close-ups AND broader views.

Do you know what, the photo doesn't even do it justice as in real life its almose like rose gold/taupe in colour. It's a David Austin rose called "Julia's Rose" :) I bought it as a bare root and this is its first summer so i'm impressed. I just bought another David Austin rose called "Winchester Cathedral" which smells delicious

What happens if you don't have a "broad sweep"?
