@tessagardenbarmy Hi Tessa. I noticed you sew your squares together and as I found this so time consuming I crochet mine. Have made them for double beds before now but with much thicker wool. Stick to smaller ones now. Find the cat hairs very hard to wash out! Don't want to diverse from the original thread of cats.
I don’t think you will have a problem with them in lounge. I’ve got they’re bed at side of radiator and molly still gets on blanket on sofa and to be fair he’s never scratch it, so makes sure you get a scratch pole just in case and leave toy fascinaters around.
Cats and dogs allowed everywhere and on sofas and beds tho dogs sleep downstairs at night and are usually outside in the garden or somewhere near us by day. They make a very good alarm when Possum is here and lazing a-bed. The cats have a sheepskin on our bed in winter but only Cosmos uses it in summer when it's moved to a spare bed.
We have "dog proof" covers for the sofas which work very well for the two cats and there is a cat scratching post/toy in the living room which they largely ignore - of course - and another upstairs which they do use. Live mice are much more fun than toys!
