Can you help identify this plant?

DubloonDubloon Posts: 45

My Dad has this plant in his garden. It is festooned with beautiful, small, white flowers in summer.

We have no idea what it is and can't get a cutting to root.

I love this plant and would like to buy it - can you help tell us what it is?

Many thanks friends,

Dubloon

May be wrong, but could be Hebe cockayniana or similar .

Just out of interest , I googled the above but could find no match .

It's a name I picked up years ago from a now deceased friend ; maybe another forum member will know of any name changes ?

(That's if I got it right )!image

    PS should be H.cockayiana!

It seems a pretty good match to me Paul although it says that it rarely flowers 'in captivity' image

I seem to remember Hostafan identifying a hebe very like this one a while back but I can't remember what it was called and I can't find the thread ... and Hosta's on holiday in the sun at the moment so may not be reading this ...

The pics look as if it could be Alpine Mint..

Definitely a hebe. probably not H. cookiana (named after captain cook)

Looks like Prostanthera cuneata alpine mint bush. Leaves have a very distinctive smell. Small white flowers.
