@Ceres pretty disgusting process when they mate.  Not easy for them.
Looks tasty wildedge.   Not sure if mine would even try it,  yours eat more of a varied diet than mine.   Cucumber,  lettuce and pepper leaves. They don’t like dandelions.

Not a pretty sight, I would agree. I was on the verge of evicting them and placing them in the wild area when I noticed what they were up to. All the better for the thrushes in years to come.

I just love snail shells in my garden when I find them empty and I just love slugs when I find them in my beer traps.

I love slugs in the compost heap,  preferably cut in half.

It's about 100th on my list for the weekend. After changing the brake pads on the car and helping my neighbour tortoise-proof her decking.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Tomatoes for tea the other night,  if anyone says the can’t grow tomatoes from seed just get a snail. They germinate in just a few days.  Plain home made compost.

You don’t want these in your compost bin😀
I think this must have been 2 or 3 layed in the same place last night.

  • I have a question for you, @wild edges
Why would you go to the trouble of making snail feed, when I find the snails seem to survive winter and summer, without any problem, in my garden?
