@wild edges. Love your sea snails info.

Have you tried tomato for your snail,  when I gave it to my first snail he would eat it and spit out the pips,  funny to watch.

@philippasmith2. I’ve still got lettuce in the GH but will try the pepper leaves.
One of them laid another lot of eggs last night.  I can’t imagine how many there would be if they lived in the wild,  I only have five adults and have had four lots of eggs in the past 2 weeks.

I found a damaged tomato in the greenhouse yesterday so I tried it with him last night. He seemed to really enjoy it but I'm not sure there was enough meat on there. I'll have to try one with more flesh when they ripen up.

My baby snail is laying eggs,  must be a strain for it, it’s too young!

  • Hells bells @Lyn........... Ours still showing no signs and they are getting quite hefty little beasts now.  Currently out in the garden under their parrot cage - nice steady rain since early this am.  Can't say they are exactly racing around but certainly seem to be enjoying it.
Gone off the radichio leaves, don't seem to fancy the toms either.

I can’t think why yours haven’t laid Philippa,  have you seen the mating  at all?

  • No - absolutely no signs so far Lyn.  They seem happy enough otherwise.  Considering the age of your baby, I'll be interested to see if @wild edges decides to lay in the not too distant future,

Mine is about 7 months older that @wild edges,  at least his won’t be fertile,  I’ve just fished out two different lots of eggs.

No eggs from mine yet. I've added a new snail to my nerdy snail spotting list though. Theba pisana, The Sandhill Snail. An invasive species but not one that anyone seems worried about yet.

Hmm - I'll make sure the lap top is out of their reach in case they are tempted to try one of those Dating Sites Lyn :D
