Looks like Russian vine to me - also know as the mile-a-minute plant!
I agree ... Russian vine Fallopia baldschuanica .... in the same family as Japanese Knotweed but although it's 'quite a spreader' it's not in the same league as it's cousin and doesn't have the same implications for property values etc.

Yes, that's definitely Russian vine. It's related to japanese knotweed but isn't a problem from the point of view of its roots - though it does grow very fast, covering everything in its path... @Derek120 - could your mystery weeds be bits of Russian vine which someone's tried to kill in the past? People often plant it to cover a fence, then think better of it once it makes its bid for world domination.
