Your lawn is something I'm striving to emulate Nut ... it really is one of the most beautiful things I've seen in a garden.

It is beautiful, but when I had clover like that it was so full of bees I had to cut it before the grandchildren could play on it. Much as I love bees I can't help loving my grandchildren more.

my 'lawn' Philippa, it's Prunella vulgaris, Self-heal

I love the variety in the plants and diversity of animal life

I think if I wanted a flat, green area with nothing else, astroturf would be the choice

  • Of course you can garden without glyphosate  but that's missing several points. Think beyond your own immediate situation. A good percentage of the population pay for communal garden services on their estates and flats. What would ha0pen to their bills if a fortnightly visit had to include 6 hours labour weeding instead of 20 minutes spraying?

And again...food. Have you any idea what would happen to food prices without chemical control?

Far bigger picture than people with lots of spare time keeping their cottage gardens pretty.

  • It's a shame when people can't accept a viewpoint that opposes their own.
