Over wintering agapanthas

Hi all, i have a nice selection of agapanthas, all in pots which i have collected over the last year and been given. How should i care for them over winter? Last year i put one in cold greenhouse, all leaves turned yellow and came off but it bloomed amazingly this summer. Some are broad leaved, some are fine leaved. Will they be ok in cold greenhouse, if so when do i stop watering them? We are in Norfolk. ????

it's winter wet they hate more than cold.
The deciduous varieties ( usually narrower leaves ) are hardier than the evergreen ( usually broader leaves )
I stick all of mine ( Devon ) in an unheated polytunnel, but don't let the become totally dry, just not wet.
Thanks Hostafan, i will put them all in cold greenhouse and water little at times ?
That's what I do with mine. I'm sure others have a different regime, but it works for me.
I've got about 70 pots of various sizes so I move some up a pot size before they go back out in Spring.
I line them all up like hermit crabs waiting in line to move into a bigger shell.
The only time I lost an over wintering agapanthus in my garage was 2010/11. but that was one really bad winter.

mine are all out all winter (Devon and about 200m elevation). I wrap the evergreen one's pot with bubble wrap if it's looking particularly bad, I didn't have it during that really awful winter though - not sure it would have come through that. But the deciduous one I have in a pot is more than 15 years old and has never been inside in any winter. They are pretty tough as long as they drain freely

I live quite near to Hostafan in Devon, I bring the whole lot into the GH.
Blimey Hostafan, 70 pots! You should be called agapanthasfan ? Bet you have some lovely varieties, i treated myself to a black one this summer.
Thank you for your posts everyone ?
Loana, 70 ish agapanthus, maybe 30 - 40 varieties, but about 130 varieties of Hosta and about 1,500 plants.
Blimey hostafan you are an addict, i've just ordered the 4 hosta offer in GW mag, so i will have 6 ? I would really like the "mouse ears one" very tiny, you will know it for sure. I saw it last year at a garden fair it was expensive,so i passed on it, maybe next time i'll treat myself.
Do you propagate and buy new plants, to have so many. When i come home with plants, my OH isn't surprised, i say that i could have a worse addiction ?
I had one of the big ones "Frances Williams "years ago and it was eventually chomped up by the slugs.
In my defence I was working in those days and had near teenagers and very little time for gardening.
