Leaves feel crispy which would typically make me lean towards under watering but then the other four are doing quite well-
Maybe a touch yellow in places but the freshest leaves look good, unlike this one. They were wilting quite a bit on Sunday afternoon so I gave them all a good watering and they'd completely perked up within an hour.
This one dud seems to be getting worse if anything though and I've been watering them all the same. Holes in the leaves hint at anything in particular?
Ended up binning that dodgy foxglove, has barely grown at all in the past month and was still looking ill. When I dug it up its roots had barely gone anywhere.
Replaced with a couple of small dahlias to mix it up.
I have used big bags of diy store "compost" or soil improver quite a lot. It is inexpensive and you can pile it on the soil. If your soil is like mine it really helps to open up my rather dusty soil. I have not had a problem using the B&Q soil improver. if you regard it as just a soil improver, the very fibrous stuff will bind together with dusty soil and it becomes much better to use. Then put some fertiliser on it.
