Identification help please

Is anyone able to help me Identify this tree? It’s around 2.5 metres tall and had very dark purple/black fruit like a tiny apple sort of thing. Pictures attached. Also if anyone can suggest what the leaf infection is and Amy suggestions for helping it back to health that would be great. Thanks all

It could be a Blackthorn tree, Prunus Spinosa. Most trees at this time of year are getting ready for winter, therefore leaves will start to drop. I don't think there are any major issues.

It looks like some sort of blackspot, a fungus disease that attacks plants in dampness. If you don't want the fungus to return next year, bin the fallen leaves (don't leave them on the ground).
The leaves of Prunus spinosa are actually quite small.
Quote wiki...."The leaves are oval, 2–4.5 centimetres (0.79–1.77 in) long and 1.2–2 centimetres (0.47–0.79 in) broad, with a serrated margin."
The main feature is the thorns which I cannot see. See link...

At this time of year it would be full of small round fruit..sloes.

I think it is Prunus sp...but would not like to say which one.

Silver surfer, I agree at this time of year it would be full of round fruit, but thought the tree didn't look too well, possibly crowded by other surrounding taller trees, so was reading the original poster's comments about 'purple black fruits' and put two and two together...
Suspect damson or plum would be a better match.

Could it be Prunus padus , the 'Bird-Cherry'?
PS There is a variety of P.padus called 'Colorata' ; this has prominent dark veins .
Prunus padus leaf veins are different from those shown by Leighwarner.
Note the scalloped veins parallel ,near leaf edge.

Thanks for your efforts all. i’ve Checked these out and it’s none of these. The fruits are like tiny apples - about 2cm diameter- although I can’t find anything with such a dark colour online. Close to black.
