  • Hi,

    Do what I do.

I go out on a night with the torch and a tub of salt and put a bit of salt on each slug.

When I first started we had lots of slugs after a few days I started getting less and less of them.

Just keeping doing it and you will wear them down.

    Hope this helps

  • I am trying every thing suggested,   and all seem to be working.

    Many thanks.

Nematodes..............This summer I have seen about 20 slugs in total on my plot that is 14 foot by 42 foot

I appreciate that most stay under ground but compared with the years BN...Before Nematodes...I used to get 40 or 50 and some Tiger Slugs....8 inches long and spotted.

    Good luck Milly1

Yes  NewBoy2,    this has been the worst year for us with slugs, humid and damp weather all summer

and through the autum,  We planted a lot of summer bedding.....ie,  marigolds, pansies etc. all destroyed ,we live about 20 miles outside of Dublin,  and thats the way our weather went this year.

So will hope next year is a lot drier for us , and all gardeners.
