Nematodes in Spring next year will do the trick
they then need reapplying
Thanks ,
go out on a damp evening with a torch and a pair of scissors.
Agree with Mark
1..I have used nematode worms for the last three years and I have seen noticeably less slugs
I know a lady who used to work at a research station and they used them successfully in their experiments
About £10.00 per pack
2...Also get some yogurt/butter pots that you can 50% sink into the spoil and add some cheap beer so the slugs are attracted and fall in.
Be very careful how you take the pot out of the soil as I once tipped the contents it over my hair and IT STINKS
I can vouch for that stink, I renovate headstones for a job and the worst thing is emptying the flower containers, they only have water in but get full of slugs, phew, Very smelly. Must say I have never tipped one out on my head?

I had to stop digging and walk 1/2 a mile home to get straight into a bath whilst offering to hug my female allotmenteers of course
It was worse than when I sat on a bus next to our local tramp
