    Not local!

    Seeing the Snow Buntings made me think of my Arctic expedition, where we saw lots. Looking through the photos i thought I might post this.

    Very impressive, Doc...it must have been an experience of a lifetime.

    Doc and I got slightly sidetracked with Stac Pol there Sheps ....image

    The snow buntings are really sweet.....but it was lovely to see the polar bears again too  image

    Your pic of  the corn bunting and the comparison/differences with meadow pipits reminded me of a pic I got recently of one with some food for a youngster. Little insect eater image

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    Hi Fairy...that is one very tired looking parent Meadow Pipit, looking after the youngsters really wears them out image

    Looking at the grey head and red throat, I'm going to go with Red-throated Diver.

    BTW, fantastic shot of the Rhinos, Doc.
