  • I’m playing this game too 😊...of all mine so far only the hardy geranium has roots (but I’ll take that - one more than I expected!). Far right on pic.

    I couldn't bear throwing accidentally broken leaves on my Senecio Angels Wings so put them in a vase. The vase filled with roots so they were potted up and given to friends.

    It seems that's often the way. Same happened to me with a penstemon.

    I’ve broken a stem from my clematis Vyvyan Pennell, so I’ve taken three cuttings: two are in compost and one is in a jar with water.

    Quick question...if the cutting end (the bit in the water. Don't know the technical term sorry!) Goes black, is it dead in the water. Pardon the pun. Or should I persevere?
