Tiny turquoise granules

I have found a bag of tiny turquoise granules in my shed, left by previous house owner (no, they are not slug pellets!)  They do not dissolve in water and they are lighter coloured than image

slug pellets. Any ideas? Wondered if they may be mouse bait? They look a bit clumped as I dried them after I tried putting some in water in case they're weed killer but, as I said, they don't dissolve.

    Just dispose of them carefully.
They look very much like slug pellets, but there's no point in taking any risks with yourself or wildlife in your garden

  • They are not slug pellets - they are very hard and don't dissolve at all.

  • Entirely possible that they are a warfarin based rodenticide as they are also blue, so pack them carefully, bin them and wash your hands well afterwards.

Good advice Steve, not sure if I remembered correctly but aren't most dangerous solid garden chemicals coloured bright blue?  or am I having one of those days..........

    See original post

You are quite right. These things are blue so you can tell when they are vomited up. Blue is, I think, used as mostly food isn't blue.

Thank you Steve, also for the lovely picture which will stay with me for a while image (maybe there should be a blue one of these?) that totally makes sense.

Can I just say, Lovely to see you again Steve. You've been missed.

  • Herbaceous, I shall spare you one of my fave online pics, that of a dog being made to bring up chocolate that it had eaten in spectacular style. This is a regular part of my job!

Thanks Hosta. I am around, I just don't post as often these days. I always see any private messages.

Thank you Steve, you have my undying gratitude, but you have a very good and necessary job! There must be sick free days surely?
