Strange Mmmm. Well I eat nuts all the time so no problems there. And last year when I cut the plants when I first moved in I had no issues. The only difference I can think is when I cut the hedge and arch you can see further down the garden it was drizzling a bit and my arms where brushing the plants a fair bit. Also the bush I cut near the sun house which produced a white latex like substance where I cut it I'm not sure I had cut before.
I'll wear long sleeves and gloves in future as the rash was very bad.
Yes that is the one in the 1st pic I sent at 19.31 and the edge of the sun house. Quite a hard stem, like wood but when cut all cut stems produced a fair bit of a white substance immediately which I probably got on my arms as I only noticed it when my arm felt wet.
That was really useful info thanks very much I'm amazed how many plants can cause issues !
A few stand out:
1) British Ivy, the sap can cause skin to be sensitive to light and burn. I was cutting a big bush of this stuff in the drizzle and I only had issues a few days later after being in the sun !
2) Cuckoo pint, now I have a few of these but I didn't cut them and I'm not sure I even touched them, lovely looking plant.

I've been attacked by several plants in my life, the effect has always been quicker than a few days. Next day at the latest,.

Unless maybe it's been aggravated by bright sunlight a few days later perhaps Nut?

Maybe. The umbellifers are good for that. My son got celery rash when he had a holiday job in a market garden.
