I am more a cat person than dog. I like dogs as long as it belongs to someone else but to me house is not a home unless there is at least one cat in residence.

when I first left home around 30 years ago I came home to my newly bought maisonettes one day to find my brother busy putting a cat flap in my front door as he had  arranged with the local cat rescue centre to visit with the view to me adoption 2 cats. Jessie and Arnold duly moved in and moved several times with me and gave me over 15 years of love. Over the years they were joined by another cat who went by the name puppy who outlived both of them and then when she went to join them in the great gardens in heaven our current lad moved in. Rescue centres are full of wonderful cats ( and dogs) who just want to give and receive love.

To see a world in a grain of sand and heaven in a wild flower Hold infinity in the palm of your hand and eternity in an hour.

I've had cats and dogs. I've found dogs more intuitive. Their emotions are more aligned to humans. Have you ever seen an embarrassed cat?

A dog will give loyalty - a cat expects it. I remember going out to break up a cat fight,  Spike was in retreat until he saw he had backup. Then he was back in fighting.

I like the Mark Twain quotes.

B3 I don't know what you mean by 'have you ever seen an embarrassed cat?' Cats don't seem to care what you think of them, is that what you were trying to say? Also was Spike a cat?!

    Spike was a cat.

Peckham was a dog  (poodle terririer cross we think )

I unfortunately embarrassed her a few times when I forgot to trim round her rear end with unpleasant consequences for both of usimage

    Yes I mean cats don't give a rat's

I still have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. If/when I get this cat I'm thinking of adopting, I won't be trimming anything letalone her rearend!

It was the dog. Poodle' s hair grows and grows but doesn't fall out like other dogs' so it needs to be trimmed. The dog was part poodle. She looked embarrassed.

The cat was involved in a cat fight and needed back-up. He expected loyalty
