Animals & Man or Man & Animals.

I love all animals, including humans.  I also love plants.  What's your question?

As Mike says, the question is - Is it. Animals& man or is it man & animals.

As to what the answer is...... image

Hopefully Mike will enlighten us a bit later

I have no doubt there'll be an exposition on it at some stage ...

but if Mike really wants to chat to friends about their relationships with their pets he can always join in here

This was a nice post to read, especially as I'm thinking of bringing home a cat which I currently cat sit for and the owner can't look after properly. I personally think with some animals it's animals and man, and with some it's man and animals. It depends on what animal. I think with cats it's the former and dogs it's the latter. You can train a dog to 'catch' or 'sit', but I'm not sure how easily you can do that with a cat. image

All my pets have been 'rescued' animals and they have - and still do bring pleasure to my life. They are non judgemental, always happy to see you (even if it is not altruistic with the feline pets!) and medically proven to lower blood pressure. As mankind falls into the 'animal' category of classification then there has to be a somewhat blurring of the edges between animals and man or man and animals. Suffice it to say that there are times when I far prefer 'animals' to some human beings.

Never a truer word raisingirl. Pet animals are obviously a topic of conversation down through the ages.

Interesting and thought provoking thread Mike.

As someone who grew up on a pig farm, I've always agreed with Winston Churchill's opinion that, "Dogs look up to you; cats look down on you ... but pigs is equal." image
