Spider of the day (I know, spiders are not insects, but...): Misumena vatia a species of crab spider. Resting on a nice R. 'Pierre de Ronsard' rose, alongwith a few aphids?
Interesting info on Wikipedia re their colour change behaviour. Apparently they don't have pink pigment to match pink roses.
We had our first sighting of a very large emperor moth last night. Very exciting. Several bright green shield bugs about and some browny ones but I never seem to have my camera handy.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
