Very funny PDoc.  You certainly nipped that in the bud and Moira must be feeling relieved.  Quite right.

Taken some cuttings today to put them in the bathroom away from Alfie and Ed tho'.  They've been enjoying the warm weather today lounging and sprawled out.  It's still lovely now with a nice breeze.  Perfect.  Just arrived at my parents to watch the athletics.  No tennis until tomorrow, Wimbledon.  I was surfing the internet this morning and managed to buy a brand new Together dress, very pleased.  It's great to get a bargain. It's good to have something in just in case.  Saves on last minute trawling.  We're just having a take out tonight.  I hope you all have a relaxing evening!

    Joyce, road open again?

Went to look at an Open Garden this morning. Gave me hope, but not motivation. They had been away and it's poured since they got back so lawn was unmown and there were some weeds. But beautiful alstromerias. Nice couple, yummy cake. They said they had some teacups to give DD. They know her.

Been struggling with my garden this afternoon. I think bindweed likes rain! Middle bed finished, all edged. But the rain has blasted flowers off and made plants look a mess. Open Day in a week.

I hope Dove's OH isn't too bruised, sounds painful.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

right, that's me just back from work. 10.5 hour driving marathon. I/2 hour break since 8am.

I had a drop on the Clovelly Estate. Customer was out, and I was very early. Fabulous old farm buildings in a lovely Shabby Chic , well, more just beautifully shabby to be honest.

I know it's gone 7, but it rained when I started the grass last night , and it's forecast to be wet again tomorrow. so I'm finishing this cuppa, then heading out again.

    Catch you all soon.

    Devon.

Thanks LP. Daughter came A76 this morning and left at 6.30 to drive home for her medications etc and will be back tomorrow. OH comatose and on increasing doses of morphine. I have just come home.

Good evening everyone - including Fairy, so glad you're back.  image

I've been in York today for our last rehearsal before singing in the Buxton Fringe Festival in a bit under a fortnight.  Most of the music is pretty good, some still a bit shambolic.  More homework to do... no doubt it'll be "alright on the night"...

Glad the garden you visited gave you encouragement, BL.  Visitors need to look past weeds and occasional untidiness... I'm sure a good slice of cake helps!  image

Busy day tomorrow.  Book club in the morning, natural history walk in the afternoon, choir in the evening.  Must squeeze in lawn mowing as well if possible.

Just starting to read back, as been on Aunty duties most of weekend... but must say to Joyce that I am thinking of you at this difficult time. I hope your husband is being well looked after and that you can stay strong.

My garden and I live in South Wales.
