Plant identification

Two plants without names. No-one could identify them previously, but now they both have flowers perhaps they will be easier to identify? The first is about 5 foot tall, but with feeble little pink flowers, the second is approx 18 inches tall with just the one flower spike.

Picture 1 Epilobium angustifolium (Rosebay Willowherb) Rapidly spreading weed .
Picture 2 Liatris spicata (Kansas gayfeather) Moisture loving garden plant . (White form available too).
If you don't want your entire garden filled with rosebay forever, catch it before it releases clouds of fluffy seeds
2 Isn't purple loostrife I've got clumps of it here and there

i would have said that Willowherb was Epilobium hirsutum, Great or Hairy Willowherb

There's a strip of them about 50ft wide in front of willows where I walk with my dog - they look stunning - in the right place
