Ah yes! I remember our conversation of a few months ago.

I did grow a box this year, but gave them all to neighbours, so I can still enjoy the sight of them from my bedroom window :)

Is this plant grown in the ground like a ground cover? Or is it climbing. Beautiful adaptable shrub that can climb and take well to shaping. Bonus being an evergreen too.

I had one in my front garden for many years which spread and covered an area about 8ft diameter, but only about 10" high.

Some stems worked their way into a star jasmine I've got on an arch and grew up the arch - until I noticed and cut them back, so maybe they can be used either way

I also had one once, growing in my front garden. These Fortunei ones are quite small leaved and reasonally behaved if you keep an eye on them. They have suckers on them once they start to attach themselves, they can climb very well.

If kept away from anything it can attach to, you can shape them just like a box or any small leaved type evergreen shrub. I have seen it used a lot in formal gardens as an alternative to box edging along the ege of the borders, and the variagated versions really lifts their planting schemes.
