Buttercups in lawn

madpenguinmadpenguin Posts: 2,543

Firstly I don't have any but wondered what sort of Buttercup is generally in a lawn.

I have seen them grown with daisies flowering at a height of 2-3 inches (and less).

Want it for my mini-meadow lawn but not sure which one it is!

Most likely Creeping or Bulbous. They flower low if mowed earlier in the season, I think Meadow Buttercup, the most attractive imo, would not flower after a mowing. But that might not be general, my Meadow Buttercups don't flower in the mowed area

I think I already have creeping buttercup but it has never flowered as far a I am aware.

Must go and have a close look at other peoples lawns!
