Blistered skimmia leaves

turmericturmeric Posts: 830

Hello all, I took a cutting from a skimmia last year and it has grown well and put on lots of new leaves.  Unfortunately the leaves are now covered in white blisters or raised bits. There are no signs of pests or aphids just lots of bumps on the leaves. And nothing on the back of the leaves.  Any ideas anyone?

Not really. I saw your post yesterday and had a think. All I came up with is something has caused the damage but is not longer there - has it had hail fall on it maybe?
Does it also appear on new leaves?

I still wont know the answer, but others may :)

Thanks for trying Pete8.  No hail thankfully.  I was just surprised that neither of my questions had any responses so I thought I'd ask again under Plants in case it was a more popular topic.  It's the new leaves that are more affected.  I've searched for critters but can't find any.  I think you're right, maybe it's just heavy rain damage on a new, softer leaf that's made a mark?
